Artist Book of Headlines Series

This book, Headlines, includes images that are sourced from newspaper stories. They chart my reactions to political events that have been described in the press, in keeping with my previous books. In this series, I have become more interested in the abstraction inherent in representing these headlines. The images are presented in chronological order, as a calendar of personal responses. The first image, of the James Webb telescope, is fairly benign, but is a harbinger of receiving distant information. Appropriately, the final image is of the breaking news of Donald Trump’s indictment in New York, an event with details that remain obscure (until the indictment is unsealed) but that looms enormous.
